What Bright Data offers
Bright Data offers a LinkedIn scraper product as part of a wider web-data platform. Read the provider’s own description.
Your organization already uses broad web-data infrastructure or needs collection across many websites and delivery formats. In that situation, replacing the product with a narrower API can create extra engineering work even if an individual lookup looks inexpensive. Confirm the current contract and available capabilities directly with the provider.
Where ProfileGlide fits
You need a smaller LinkedIn integration with a shared run contract and per-result credit accounting. Our implemented API has eight actions covering people search, person and company enrichment, posts, comments, and reactions. Requests use explicit inputs, result limits, and optional credit budgets.
That scope has boundaries: list results are one page, optional fields depend on source availability, and private outreach is not implemented. Paid subscription checkout and production deployment are separate launch requirements. Identify whether you currently consume scraped requests, delivered files, or licensed datasets. Each requires a different migration and freshness model.
Compare cost using the same workload
A request, a returned person, an account connection, and a dataset subscription are different billing units. Avoid dividing unlike units and calling the result a saving.
ProfileGlide’s planned Starter tier is $49 for 10,000 credits. At full utilization, a one-credit record allocates $0.0049 of that plan and a 20-credit profile allocates $0.098. These are arithmetic illustrations of proposed pricing, not metered cash charges or a claim about Bright Data’s price.
A mixed workload of 1,000 full profiles and 5,000 one-credit results requires 25,000 credits. A plan with enough credits still needs available source capacity; profile daily limits and queue admission remain relevant. Paid plans are not yet purchasable. Review pricing and limits before budgeting.
Run a useful evaluation
Use matching workloads and timestamps. Compare successful usable records, failed work, delivery latency, and any storage or orchestration charges.
Define required fields before testing. Use the same permitted input set, record the run time, and track missing values, empty responses, failed requests, and successful usable records. Compare median and tail latency rather than only the best example.
Test one intentional retry with an unchanged idempotency key. Check whether the balance changes once, then revoke the test key and verify that it can no longer execute. For an asynchronous integration, test polling and cancellation as well as the happy path.
A practical decision
Choose the provider whose current contract covers the workflow you need, with evidence from your own integration test. ProfileGlide is worth evaluating when its bounded read actions are enough. Keep Bright Data in consideration when the broader or different workflow described above is essential.
